KAUKAUNA — Now that Christmas has passed, people already have begun disposing their real Christmas trees.

Here are some options in the Fox Valley if you, too, are ready to say goodbye to the holidays:

The city of Kaukauna will have a free holiday tree drop off at the Bayorgeon Diamond One parking lot from Dec. 30, 2024-Jan. 5, 2025. Holiday trees can also be dropped off at the Disposal Site with proper access required. Please be sure to remove all lights, tinsel, and ornaments. See the drop location HERE.

City crews will also conduct holiday tree brush collection in Kaukauna on your garbage day during the weeks of Jan. 6-13, 2025.

The Bubolz Nature Preserve, 4815 N Lynndale Dr, Appleton, is taking trees for its winter survival program. Drop the trees off at the preserve HERE.

The Quinney Fishing Club is accepting used or unused Christmas trees at the fishing club W5604 Quinney Rd., Chilton, just south of Stockbridge on the east side of Lake Winnebago. Drop them on the trailer next to the shed. The trees are used to mark the ice during ice fishing season.

The NEW Zoo and Adventure Park in Green Bay, will accept donations through Jan. 4, 2025, of used Christmas trees. Message them on their Facebook page HERE for detailed instructions for this year’s drop-off procedure.

Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary will collect clean trees for the captive animals. Stop in the Observation Building any time between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to talk with staff where to drop the tree off.
