BUCHANAN — No injuries were reported after a fire Wednesday in the town if Buchanan.

According to a news release, Combined Locks Fire & Rescue, Buchanan Fire & Rescue, Hollandtown Fire and Wrightown Fire were called out Wednesday afternoon to a farm on Haen Road near County Highway KK in the town of Buchanan for a report of machinery on fire next to a building.

Buchanan/Combined Locks deputies were first on the scene and advised that the fire was out but smoldering.

The homeowner was using a torch to work on a boom truck, according to the news release.

The radiant heat then started an empty bird’s nest on fire inside the boom which then spread to hydraulic lines and fluid.

Firefighters were able to access the fire through access panels and extinguish the blaze.

There were no injuries.
