NEENAH — The Neenah Rockets last defeated the Kimberly Papermakers in 2005, but a dramatic 29-28 come-from-behind victory Friday snapped the long losing streak.

It took a late-game field goal at Rocket Stadium to give Neenah a win over Kimberly for the first time in 19 years.

The Rockets scored first, leading 6-0 after quarter 1.

But after a back-and-forth game, Kimberly was up 28-26.

That’s when Jack Klundt nailed his 26 yards field goal for the win.

The final jumbled the top of the Fox Valley Association standings, making the final weeks of the season a race for the championship.

Kimberly hosts Kaukauna next week at Papermaker Stadium after the Ghosts rallied to a 13-10 overtime win over Appleton North.

Neenah’s only conference loss came in week four against Kaukauna.
