KAUKAUNA — The man accused of crashing a motorcycle Sunday in Kaukauna, killing the woman he was riding with, is being held on a $250,000 cash bond.

Zachary Burr, 22, Kaukauna, made his initial appearance Monday in Outagamie County Circuit Court.

Burr is charged with one count of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, one count of hit-and-run involving death and one count of knowingly operating while revoked causing death.

According to a Kaukauna Police Department news release, officers were sent about 4:30 a.m. Sunday to a motorcycle crash near the intersection of Depot Street and Taylor Street in Kaukauna.

As a result of the crash, a 20-year-old woman was transported to the hospital and later died, according to police.

Burr returns to court Aug. 29.

During the court hearing, Burr was ordered to maintain absolute sobriety and to not operate a motor vehicle.

He also was ordered to not contact the family of the victim.
