COMBINED LOCKS — After arriving at a Combined Locks home to help a resident who fell, first responders took the added step if making sure their sidewalk was shoveled.

According to a social media post, a Combined Locks resident slipped and fell Thursday on the ice on their driveway and suffered injuries.

While City of Kaukauna Fire Department Paramedics and Combined Locks/Buchanan EMS personnel were taking care of the patient, Combined Locks Deputy Pompa and Sergeant Ross from the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, Combined Locks Fire & Rescue EMS Lieutenant Doyle and FF/EMR Van Thiel took it upon themselves to shovel and snowblow the patient’s driveway so it was one less thing that they had to worry about.
