KAUKAUNA — A deer has found its way into the construction site of the new apartments on Kaukauna’s north side, and city officials are trying to figure out how to coax it out.

Residents began reporting the trapped deer Tuesday.

“We are aware of the deer inside the fence of the apartment complex construction site,” Mayor Tony Penterman wrote on Facebook.

The deer was wondering around, eating and does not appear to be injured, Penterman said.

If the deer is still there tomorrow city workers will open the fence and try to coax it out.

“Thank you to all who contacted us with their concern,” Penterman wrote.
