GREENEVILLE — A Greenville man is facing possible first degree attempted homicide and other charges stemming from a suspected arson fire last month.
Nicholas N. Grundman, 47, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the case and could also face charges of arson, stalking, three counts of criminal damage to property and carrying a concealed weapon.
According to a news release, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office and Village of Greenville Fire Department responded shortly after midnight March 19 to a residential fire in the Village of Greenville.
The fire was within a garage attached to the home. The home was occupied at the time of the fire and the homeowner discovered the fire.
An investigation into the fire was started by the Village of Greenville Fire Department and further assisted by the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation and the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office.
This investigation found suspicious circumstances which led investigators to believe this was not an accidental fire, leading to Grundman’s arrest.
The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Village of Greenville Fire Department and the Wisconsin Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) for their partnership in resolving this investigation.
