KAUKAUNA — The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts boys basketball team defeated Neenah 64-44 Thursday to advance to Saturday’s sectional final with a trip to state on the line.

The Ghosts will face conference rival Appleton North, a 63-45 winner over Marshfield.

The #4 Ghosts were in control throughout the game against conference opponent #9 Neenah, rolling to its third win this season over the Rockets.

Despite upsetting 1-seed D.C. Everest last Saturday, Neenah couldn’t muster a significant challenge to the Ghosts.

Tyler Schwalbach was the leading scorer for the Ghosts with 21 points.

This also will be the third matchup this season with #2 Appleton North, co-champions of the Fox Valley Association, along with Kaukauna. The teams split their two matchups during the regular season.

The teams will play at 1 p.m. Saturday at Oshkosh North High School.
