KAUKAUNA — The Friends of the Charles A Grignon Mansion are looking for people to help out with the summer tour season and special events throughout the year.
People interested in volunteering at the Mansion are invited to an open house Saturday, March 21 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mansion, 1313 Augustine St. Kaukauna.
According to Friends secretary Mary Grogan-Seleen, “there are so many opportunities for people to get involved. housekeeping, tours, gardening, special events support, social media support, costume maintenance helping with the newsletter or other publications, or public relations. We are about to start an inventory project … you get the idea.”
With a recent change in the bylaws the membership fee for joining the Friends is waived for members who give 2 to 4 hours of their time annually to help with an event or project. Members are entitled to free admission to the home , discounts at the Mansion Gift Shop as well as receiving the Grignon Gazette, a newsletter of events and articles of historic interest.
