KAUKAUNA — A Florida man was arrested in the early morning hours of New Year’s day after firing a gun inside a Kaukauna home.
According to a news release, Kaukauna police officers responded about 12:48 a.m. Jan. 1 to the 700 block of Desnoyer Street for a reported weapons complaint.
When they arrived, officers learned that a man had shot a firearm during the incident.
The firearm was recovered at the scene and a 38-year-old Florida man was taken into custody without further incident.
He was booked into the Outagamie County Jail and faces possible charges of First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm While Intoxicated, and Disorderly Conduct.
No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
The Kaukauna Police Department was assisted by the Fox Valley Metro Police Department and the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation remains ongoing and police say no further information will be released at this time.
