KAUKAUNA — Volunteers with Learn 2 Fish With Us, an Oshkosh-based educational nonprofit, and the Kaukauna High School fishing team, held a fishing basics seminar Thursday to share their love of the sport with students.
Cpt. Greg Karch of Learn 2 Fish, and the Ghosts Fishing Team held three sessions throughout the day teaching more than 300 third and fourth graders from Electa Quinney and NDLC the skills and equipment needed to begin fishing.
Hands-on educational stations included casting, knot tying and fish identification and Dave’s Musky Club supplied lunch and volunteers.
