KAUKAUNA — Winter storm warnings and watches are in effect in northeast Wisconsin from 9 a.m. Saturday through 6 a.m. Sunday, as a major winter storm is expected to bring moderate to heavy snow and hazardous travel conditions across the region.
Officials warn travel may become very difficult at times from Saturday morning through Sunday morning.
Forecast Details
- Accumulation: The greatest total snowfall of 6 inches or more is predicted throughout the Fox Valley and up into Door County. Locally higher amounts, potentially 10 inches or more, are possible farther south.
- Peak Impacts: The most intense period of the storm, with the highest snowfall rates, is expected from 3 p.m. Saturday through Midnight.
- Snowfall Rates: During the peak impact window, snowfall rates up to 1 inch per hour are possible.
Residents are advised to adjust travel plans and prepare for significantly reduced visibility and difficult road conditions throughout the warning period.
