KAUKAUNA — Progress continues at Victor Haen Elementary as the construction team prepares to pour concrete for the new addition’s foundation.

The district shared an update to its social media pages Friday.

“It’s exciting to see the new addition begin to take shape for our future 4K and 5K students,” read the post.

The $17.8 million 30,000-square-foot addition and maintenance projects will allow the addition of 4K and 5K students beginning in the fall of 2026.

Capital Maintenance Needs:

  • Restroom ADA modifications    (American with Disabilities Act)
  • Flexible furniture in classrooms
  • Computer network switch replacement

Addition & Site Work:

  • Classrooms and Support Spaces to Accommodate 4K & 5K
  • Gymnasium (1-court)

The $198 million referendum, approved by voters in November, will enable the district to:

  • Build a new, innovative middle school to replace River View, which the district says no longer adequately meets the needs of students.
  • Expand access to 4K and 5K programs at Victor Haen Elementary School, providing more opportunities for the youngest learners.
  • Renovate key areas at Park Community Charter School, including the main office and library, to better serve students and staff.
  • Enhance safety and security across all district schools and address high-priority maintenance needs.
