KAUKAUNA — Gas up the car, Kaukauna Ghosts football fans.

The #7 seed Ghosts open the post-season with a Division 2, Level 1 football game against #2 seed Rice Lake, about a four-hour drive to northwestern Wisconsin.

The game begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24.

BRACKET

Rice Lake (6-1, 7-1) was a co-champion this season in the Big Rivers Conference.

Kaukauna (4-3, 4-5) tied for third in the Fox Valley Association along with Appleton North. Neenah and Kimberly shared the conference title.

Looking ahead in the bracket, a few familiar foes are lurking.

Notre Dame is the #1 seed in the Ghosts portion of the bracket. The Tritons defeated Kaukauna 27-20 in the season opener.

West De Pere, who defeated Kaukauna 33-9 in the second game of the season, is the #1 seed in the opposite bracket, so the Ghosts wouldn’t potentially face them until the state semifinal game.
