Construction has officially begun on the new addition to Victor Haen Elementary School approved in last November's referendum.

KAUKAUNA – The Victor Haen Elementary School Groundbreaking Ceremony has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Victor Haen Elementary, 1130 Haen Drive in Kaukauna. The new date was selected to ensure a safe and enjoyable event following Monday’s inclement weather.

This event will celebrate the start of construction on the Victor Haen Elementary addition, part of the 2024 community-supported referendum. The 30,000-square-foot addition will expand the school from a grades 1–4 building to a 4K–4 school, allowing northside students to attend their neighborhood school for early learning.

Following the brief ceremony, students will take part in a special “touch-a-truck” experience with Miron Construction, where they can explore equipment, meet operators, and even participate in a kid-sized groundbreaking activity.

All community members are invited to attend and join the Kaukauna Area School District in celebrating this exciting milestone.
