KAUKAUNA — Bring your household items in to be repaired for free at the Kaukauna Public Library’s first-ever Fix-It Clinic.
Repair coaches can talk through the repair process so you gain an understanding of the troubleshooting process.
Registration is encouraged and is open until Oct. 4, 2025 at 1 p.m. CLICK HERE to register.
Items they can repair on Oct. 6:
Small Appliances – Can repair small cords on small appliances such as lamps, toasters, blenders, etc. No large appliances or those with circuit board issues.
Small Funiture – Fix wobbly furniture, and small hinges. No treasured antiques, please.
Sewing/Clothes Mending – Can hem and seam repairs and replace buttons. No leather, and please not cat hair on items due to allergy please.
Books – Can tape ripped pages, tape the spine/cover of books, glue the spine, and repair page edge stains. Can’t rebind books (other than gluing).
Computers/Phones/General Electronics – Can fix broken circuit boards, diagnose a slow running computer, troubleshoot hardware problems, troubleshoot software problems, and recommend replacement components if unable to fix it at the event. Will have a 3D printer to print custom parts to replace broken parts if necessary. Can’t fix cracked screens or recover data from an inoperable hard drive.
