KIMBERLY – Paperfest Music Festival organizers announced this week a donation of $130,896.98 to more 50 local nonprofit organizations following its most successful event to date.
The annual four-day festival, organized by Kim-Com Promotion, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, brings the
community together through music, food, and family fun, according to a news release.
The festival’s presenting sponsor is Community First Credit Union.
Nonprofits receive funding based on the number of volunteer hours their members contribute during the event, creating a system where giving back becomes a celebration.
“Volunteers are the heartbeat of Paperfest,” said Matthew Boots, Event Director. “This incredible donation reflects the passion and dedication of those who make the festival possible; from the grounds crew to bartenders, ticket sellers, committee leads, and everyone in between. Paperfest is all about community, and we’re honored to give back in such a meaningful way.”
Held annually at Sunset Park in Kimberly, the 2025 Paperfest featured national music acts Joe Nichols,
Montgomery Gentry and Foghat, carnival rides, car show, food trucks, craft fair, and hot air balloon
glow – all coordinated by local volunteers. The 2025 festival drew record attendance, generating the
largest single-year donation in the event’s 37-year history.
