LITTLE CHUTE — Police say an 82-year-old man was killed Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Little Chute. The driver is cooperating, police say.

According to a news release, officers from the Fox Valley Metro Police Department responded about 7:45 a.m. Friday to the intersection of E. Main Street and Buchanan Street in Little Chute for a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.

Investigators say a vehicle driven by a Little Chute woman struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk on E. Main Street at Buchanan Street.

The pedestrian, an 82-year-old man from Little Chute, had significant injuries from the crash and was transported to a local hospital by Theda Star Air Medical Service where he was pronounced dead.

The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

E. Main Street / State Highway 96 in the Village of Little Chute was closed for approximately three hours for accident reconstruction which was completed by the Wisconsin State Patrol.

The Fox Valley Metro Police Department was assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department, Theda Star Air Medical Service, Gold Cross Ambulance, Little Chute Fire Department, Little Chute Department of Public Works and the Fox Cities Victim Crisis Response Team.
