GREEN BAY — The Green Bay Packers will host the New York Jets at Lambeau Field on Saturday in the first preseason game of the 2025 season.

The game will be broadcast live in Green Bay on WGBA-TV, channel 26 over the air.

The pregame show begins at 6:30 with the game broadcast at 7 p.m.

This is the first time since 2021 that the Packers open the preseason at home.

The game will be the 10th preseason meeting between the Packers and Jets, with Green Bay holding a 6-3 (.667) advantage in the series.

The Jets and Packers last met in the preseason in 2021, a 23-14 New York victory at Lambeau.

Training-camp storylines always hover around new players and just how they figure into the depth chart.

The Packers added an 11-man draft class.

Among those with an impressive training camp so far is wide receiver Matthew Golden (Jersey No. 22) was selected by
the Packers in the first round out of the University of Texas.

He played in 36 games with 33 starts in his three collegiate seasons (Houston, 2022-23; Texas, 2024), and was one of only six FBS players to post 35-plus receptions, 400-plus receiving yards and six-plus TD catches each season from 2022-’24.

Following this game, Green Bay will
hold a public practice on Tuesday, Aug. 12, before going to Indianapolis, where it will have a joint practice (Aug. 14) before facing the Colts on Saturday, Aug. 16, at noon.
