Wrightstown Hosts Pet-Themed National Night Out on August 5, 2025, at Walt Maki Field 

“Paws & Protect” – An Evening of Community, Safety, and Furry Friends 

WRIGHTSTOWN – The Wrightstown Police Department will host its annual National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Walt Maki Field at Wrightstown Elementary School.

This year’s theme, “Paws & Protect,” makes the night especially pet-friendly—offering fun for the whole family, including your four-legged friends! 

National Night Out is a nationwide initiative that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Wrightstown’s celebration highlights the importance of animal welfare and pet safety, while bringing residents together with first responders for a memorable summer evening. 

Featured Pet & Safety Activities:

On-site pet adoptions from Wild and Free Rescue 

Pet microchipping available for just $20 

Local pet organizations and vendors with giveaways and information 

Family Fun & Entertainment:

Meet-and-greet with Wrightstown Police, Fire, and EMS 

Emergency vehicle displays 

K9 demonstration by the Green Bay Police Department 

A toy-drop by the Wisconsin Powered Paragliders  

Visit from Sabamba’s Alpacas 

Mechanical bull rides 

Face painting, bounce houses, and Bay Tek Games 

DNR Demonstration 

Dunk Tank 

Silent auction featuring a signed Green Bay Packers football and Green Bay Gamblers tickets 

50/50 raffles, community booths, and prizes galore

“We’re proud to host this year’s National Night Out with a unique theme that celebrates both public safety and pet safety,” said Officer Alberts of the Wrightstown Police Department. “It’s a great way to connect with our residents, support local rescues, and have fun together as a community.” 

So, leash up your pups, grab your lawn chairs, and bring the whole family to Walt Maki Field on August 5th for a tail-wagging good time!
