LITTLE CHUTE – The aroma of fresh cheese and the sounds of celebration are set to fill the air in Little Chute as the community prepares for its annual Great Wisconsin Cheese Festival.
This beloved three-day event, a staple since 1988, is scheduled to take place the first weekend of June, running from Friday, June 6, through Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Doyle Park.
Known for drawing thousands of cheese enthusiasts, the festival promises a weekend packed with family-friendly fun and, of course, an abundance of cheese. Attendees can look forward to activities including live music performances, food booths featuring local delicacies and carnival rides for all ages.
Highlights of the festival include the grand parade on Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m. downtown.
There is a spirited walk/run event known as the “Cheddar Chase,” and ample opportunities for cheese tasting.
The highly anticipated cheese curd eating contest is at 1:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
Admission to the festival grounds at Doyle Park will require a pass on Friday and Saturday, with costs set at $5 for adults (13+) and $3 for children (ages 4-12); children under 3 are admitted free.
Sunday, however, offers free admission for everyone, making it a perfect day for families to enjoy the festivities. Organizers are also providing a free shuttle service from Little Chute High School to Doyle Park on Friday and Saturday to ease parking congestion.
With its long-standing tradition of celebrating Wisconsin’s dairy heritage, the Great Wisconsin Cheese Festival continues to be a highlight on the state’s summer calendar, inviting locals and visitors alike to indulge in all things cheesy.
