APPLETON — The Appleton Police Department currently is investigating an incident that resulted in injuries to an person who they say was riding on on outside of a moving vehicle.

According to a news release, Appleton officers responded early Monday to a home in North Appleton for a report of a person who had life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say the injured person had been riding on the exterior of the vehicle.

When they arrived, officers found the person on the ground.

Emergency medical personnel rendered aid at the scene, and the injured person was taken to a hospital for further treatment. The investigation remains ongoing police say, and no further details are being released at this time.
