KAUKAUNA — A teacher at St. Ignatius Chesterton Academy in Kaukauna was arrested Wednesday, the school announced in a statement.
The school said in a statement that the Appleton Police Department arrested Collin Killoren, a 7-12 grade teacher of Logic, Philosophy, and Debate at the school, according to multiple media reports.
Formal.charges have yet to be filed in court.
No students at St. Ignatius Catholic School and Chesterton Academy have been identified in this situation at this time, according to the school.
The school said Appleton Police are investigating and the teacher’s personal devices have been confiscated, according to multiple media reports.
“St. Ignatius Catholic School and Chesterton Academy officials are cooperating with authorities and Mr. Killoren was immediately placed on administrative leave,” the school’s statement said. “This is the first we are hearing of any issues surrounding Mr. Killoren. He passed all background and reference checks during the hiring process.”
