KAUKAUNA — Paige Miller and Kally Meredith teamed up for three state softball titles before they graduated in 2024 from Kaukauna High School.
They parted ways for a year, but now play again on the same diamond at Florida International University, according to the school’s spring softball roster.
After graduating in 2024, Miller joined the UW Bager softball team, where she appeared in 30 games, went 3-for-13 on the season with 17 runs scored, the fourth most on the team.
But after her freshman season, warmer weather apparently beckoned, and she was off to Florida International, where Meredith already had finished her freshman season with the Panthers.
Meredith had a standout freshman season, where she was selected to both the All-Conferernce USA Second Team and CUSA All-Freshman squads with a .383 batting average. She was ranked as the fifth-toughest player to strike out in CUSA and 114th in the nation.
Before the season began, Meredith was named to the Conference USA pre-season all-conference team, the only member of her team to make the list.
So far this season, the duo leads their team in batting average, with Miller at .404 and Meredith at .381.
Their former team, the Kaukauna Ghosts, opens its 2025 softball season Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Middleton.
