KAUKAUNA — As the state legislature begins work on Wisconsin’s next two-year budget, leaders of the Republican controlled budget writing committee are holding a series of public meetings throughout the state.
The co-chairs of the legislature’s Joint Committee on Finance are planning four public hearings on the state budget, kicking off April 02, 2025 at Kaukauna High School.
Constituents will be able to make their voices heard as lawmakers formulate the state’s new spending plan. The seven-hour hearing is one of four the committee is holding across the state.
Each public hearing will begin at 10 a.m. and last until 5 p.m. People who want to speak will need to fill out a form when they arrive, and they will then be added to the list of speakers.
The committee will then head to: Wisconsin State Fair Park April 4, Hayward High School April 28 and Northcentral Technical College in Wausau April 29
