KAUKAUNA — The brackets have been released for the 56th annual Holy Cross Men’s basketball tournament in Kaukauna.
The tournament of 16 teams tips off Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Carl Giordana Gym at Holy Cross Parish.
The annual tournament attracts some of the top amateur basketball players from throughout the Midwest including, according to tentative rosters submitted to the tournament, this year’s Mr. Basketball in Wisconsin, Xzavion Mitchell of Oshkosh North and Kaukauna’s Keegan VanKauwenberg, who will play basketball in the fall at UW-Green Bay.
Other notables in this year’s field:
- Max Klesmit, who just finished his season with the UW Badgers
- Treyvon Hughes, former UW Badger
- Alex Welhouse of Kaukauna who plays for the University of Nebraska at Omaha
- Aaron Vanden Heuvel of Kaukauna, an FVA all-conference selection in 2008
Welhouse and Vanden Heuvel will play on the McCarty Law Team that finishes second a year ago to The Unintentional
