KAUKAUNA — The Kaukauna Ghosts boys’ basketball team’s march through the playoffs continued Saturday with a 63-54 win over Neenah.

The upset-minded Rockets took a 33-30 halftime lead as the Ghosts’ offense struggled with turnovers.

Andrew Jensen had 13 pounts in the half, Keegan VanKauwenberg had 12 and Kaden Graff had 5.

But Kaukauna tightened it’s ball handling and clamped down in defense in the second half to pull away.

With a 7-point lead and two minutes to go, the Ghosts slowed down their offense, forcing Neenah to foul.

That’s where Kaukauna made their freethrows to seal the win.

VanKauwenberg finished the game with 22 points followed by Jensen with 17.

The top-seeded Ghosts now prepare for the winner of the #5 Appleton North vs #13 Kimberly game also being played Saturday in the other bracket.

Kaukauna will play that game Thursday, March 13 at 7 p.m. in the sectional semifinal.
