KAUKAUNA — Two Kaukauna players on the Fox Cities Stars co-op high school hockey team have received statewide honors.

The awards from Wisconsin Prep Hockey were presented at the Girls State Tournament and All-State Banquet on Wednesday night in Madison.

Talia Bellotti, a senior at Kaukauna High School, was named a finalist for the Rachel Kenyon Award, which honors our team’s “unsung hero” for their dedication and hard work on and off the ice.

Evie Mursau, a junior at Kaukauna, was voted as a Second Team All-State Forward and also a finalist for the Jinelle Siergiej Award—an award dedicated to the states top forward.

The Fox Cities Stars Girls hockey program is a WIAA-sanctioned high school hockey team.

The program has been in existence from 2009-2010 capturing state titles in 2019 & 2020 and earning a third state tournament appearance in 2022 falling short in the state semi-final.

The program is comprised of players from 12 schools averaging three players from each school.
