APPLETON — CASA of the Fox Cities announced Thursday it will host Grammy nominated folksinger Cory Chisel in concert on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
The concert will be held at Poplar Hall with doors opening at 5 p.m. Tickets purchased in advance are $35 and available at casafc.org/voices.
Chisel, born and raised in Appleton and a co-founder of Mile of Music, has recorded two critically acclaimed albums.
He has toured the world with Norah Jones, recorded with Rosanna Chase, and received a Grammy
nomination for penning the title track to Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell’s 2015 album, “The Traveling Kind.”
The benefit concert is in support of Child Abuse Prevention/Strengthening Families Month in April.
“We are excited to have him perform at Poplar Hall to help raise awareness and funds for CASA of the Fox Cities.” the group said in a news release.
The heart of CASA of the Fox Cities’ mission is the Court Appointed Special Advocate (‘CASA’) Training Program—a transformative initiative designed to address the unique needs of children who have experienced abuse and neglect.
With extensive learning and ongoing support, dedicated volunteers, sworn by Outagamie County judges, serve as informed advocates to provide information, recommend needed services, and help address challenges.
One CASA by a child’s side, one adult to give them a voice; to be there simply because they want to—can change a child’s story.
CASA of the Fox Cities is a member of the National CASA/GAL Association for Children has been
serving our local community since 2012. For more information visit casafc.org
