KAUKAUNA — The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts boys’ basketball team will enter the 2025 WIAA Division 1 tournament with a No. 1 seed and will open the playoffs March 7 at home.

BRACKETS

The Ghosts will host the winner of the Appleton West-Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln matchup March 5.

Kaukauna has been on a record-breaking sprint at the end of its Fox Valley Association season and closes out league play Thursday at home against Fond du Lac.

A win would give Kaukauna the outright boys basketball conference title. The Ghosts currently are 15-2 in the conference with Fond du Lac at 14-3.

Even if shared, Kaukauna can claim its first conference championship since 2016.

Kaukauna put itself it this position after a record-setting 98-79 win Friday over Kimberly.

In that game, senior guard Keegan Van Kauwenberg, who will play next season for the UW-Green Bay Phoenix, set the Ghosts boys single-game scoring record with 56 points.
