KAUKAUNA — A fundraising basketball game takes place Tuesday in Kaukauna to support an Appleton teen seriously injured last summer in a freak power washer accident.
Brett Jedwabny currently is recovering from the serious injuries sustained in the accident.
His parents, Tyler and Nicole, grew up in Kaukauna and have been sharing updates about their son’s journey on their Facebook page.
Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, beginning at 4 p.m. at Kaukauna High School will be a night of fundraising while watching boys freshman, JV and varsity players from Kaukauna take on Appleton North.
A miracle minute for donations will happen at half time of all tbree games.
Raffle baskets available starting at 5 p.m. Winners will be announced after the halftime miracle minute during the varsity game.
Kaukauna boys varsity players will be signing trading cards beginning 5:45 p.m. until half time of the JV game. Only 100 will be available.
All proceeds from the T-shirt sales, raffle baskets and miracle minutes will go directly to the Jedwabny family.
Brett was using a power washer July 9, 2024 to clean a wheel cart when the washer hit one of the cart’s tires, which shattered and debris came back and hit him in the eye and skull.
Brett also is a member of the Appleton North Fishing Team and has received strong support from the fishing community throughout the state.
