APPLETON — Authorities were able to get a driver back to safety after their vehicle accidentally drove into the Appleton International Airport.
According to a news release from the Outagamie County Sheriffs Office, an older and confused driver entered airport property Tuesday through an open gate.
This gate was open for construction vehicles and staffed by security.
The driver drove past security and was stopped a short time later by deputies.
This was an unintentional act and the situation was resolved quickly, authorities said.
