NEENAH — The driver is safe, but now Neenah police are working to recover a car that crashed through the ice last night in Neenah.
According to police, the driver left the roadway in the 200 block of Lakeshore Avenue (just south of Kimberly Point Park), and drove across the ice into the open water.
The driver was not injured and arrangements are still being made to retrieve the vehicle.
Police say they have taken dozens of calls about this and want to make the public aware there is no emergency and the vehicle will be removed as soon as possible.
