KAUKAUNA – Kaukauna High School is planning a new ceremony, called the 180° Awards, dedicated to recognizing and celebrating a different but equally important kind of student achievement—remarkable improvement and growth.

The ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and is open to the community to attend.

This event will honor students who have made significant strides in their academic performance, specifically those who have shown notable improvement in their GPA from the third trimester of last year to the first trimester of this year.

“We’ve always celebrated high achievers, but it’s just as important to acknowledge the students who are making meaningful progress on their academic journey,” said Aaron Herm, Kaukauna High School Principal. “The 180° Awards will highlight the hard work and perseverance that are fundamental to success and emphasize that progress, no matter the starting point, is something worth celebrating.”

The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 18, with a reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by the awards ceremony at 7 p.m. in the Kaukauna High School Auditorium.

The event will celebrate the students’ growth and their commitment to continuous improvement, one of the District’s six Core Values.

“We are proud to highlight the incredible dedication and commitment these students have shown,” said Herm. “This event reinforces the idea that growth is not just about a final
grade—it’s about the continuous effort to improve, and that’s what we want to acknowledge and celebrate.”

The Kaukauna High School community is invited to attend to show support for the students’ growth and help send a powerful message that their progress is valued and recognized by the broader school community.
