KAUKAUNA — A Kaukauna man is facing a first-degree intentional homicide charge following his arrest in connection with a fatal shooting Sunday in Appleton.

According to a news release from Appleton police, officers responded to a disturbance with a weapon in the 1800 block of South Sanders Street about 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

When officers arrived, they found a man inside the residence dead from gunshot wounds.

The Outagamie County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Daniel Juedes Sr., 74, of Appleton.

An autopsy was conducted this morning at the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Police say they arrested Gregory Juedes, 45, of Kaukauna, yesterday morning following a chase.

The younger Juedes was transported and confined at the Outagamie County Jail and faces a possible one count of first-degree intentional homicide, one count of vehicle operator flee/elude an officer and one count of resisting/obstructing an officer.
