Anyone who helped the residents of Round House Manor after the tornado are welcome to stop by to help welcome the residents back home, said Wendi Butkovich, Service Coordinator at Round House Manor.

According to the National Weather Service, the tornado developed May 21, 2024 along Buchanan Road on the southwest side of Kaukauna near St. Mary’s Cemetery, snapping trees and producing isolated structure damage to the garages of a couple of homes.

The tornado quickly tracked northeast, producing scattered tree damage, mainly with broken branches and pockets of uprooted trees.

Just before the tornado lifted in Central Park behind the old library near the dam in downtown Kaukauna, it produced structural damage to the roof of the Round House Manor apartments on Bicentennial Court.

Gov. Tony Evers later visited Round House Manor, which suffered major damage, displacing roughly 50 residents.

At the time, 22 residents were moved to temporary housing at the Days Inn of Kaukauna and the Extended Stay in Appleton.

Volunteers donated clothing and food to many of the residents who were displaced.
