KAUKAUNA — A Brillion woman died Tuesday after her motorcycle crashed into a semi in the town of Buchanan just southeast of Kaukauna.

According to a news release, Outagamie County sheriff’s deputies were sent about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday to the intersection of County Highway CE and County Highway GG in the Town of Buchanan for a crash involving a semi and a motorcycle.

The preliminary investigation on scene revealed a semi tractor/trailer being driven by a 27-year-old Kaukauna man was southbound on GG, crossing the intersection at CE, when it was struck by a motorcycle being driven by a 19-year-old Brillion woman who was traveling west on CE.

Lifesaving measures for the motorcyclist were attempted on scene, but were not successful.

The semi driver was not injured. The intersection was closed for approximately 4 ½ hours.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
