MADISON — Appleton has the Best-Tasting Tap Water in Wisconsin, according to awards announced today at the Wisconsin American Water Works Association conference in Madison.
Appleton’s water utility now is in the running at the national level in 2024.
The utility serves about 75,000 people with water from Lake Winnebago.
It delivers water to customers using an advanced treatment effort through lime softening, recarbonation, filtration, fluoridation, UV treatment and disinfection.
The conference runs through Friday at the Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison.
