KAUKAUNA — The Kaukauna Police Department is urging residents to follow the “9 p.m. routine” after an increase recently in thefts from unlocked vehicles.
The “9 p.m. routine” us an initiative used by many departments in the Fox Valley to encourage residents to secure their vehicles and property overnight.
You can participate by doing these simple things every night:
Lock your vehicle.
Remove valuables and garage door openers from your vehicle.
Close overhead garage doors.
Lock the door between your garage and house.
Close and lock all exterior doors and windows.
Turn on outdoor lights.
