KAUKAUNA — Join the Kaukauna Elks #962 as they celebrate Flag Day on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. with a ceremony at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Kaukauna.
They will be sharing the history of the flag and will have the Appleton Scarlet Guard participating as the honor guard.
They also will be demonstrating a traditional flag folding as well as giving the meaning of each fold.
The Elks will be honoring Chris “The Can Man” as well as Goldin’s Recycling.
Chris is known throughout town for collecting aluminum cans that are recycled at Goldins. He is recovering from a recent health scare.
There will be a representative from the school district for a special flag presentation.
