KAUKAUNA — After Kaukauna native Lexi Schmidt-Hubers built her successful cotton candy stand, she’s taken the next step by opening a new brick-and-mortar store on Kaukauna’s south side.

Kaukauna Cotton Candy, located at 139 East 2nd Street held its grand opening last Saturday on June 8, 2024.

Schmidt-Hubers, who started her business in September of 2020, says she had just graduated high school and was stuck in the house all summer because of the pandemic, so she decided to start this adventure.

“I started by just selling at W.I.R, and then it began to grow from there,” she said.

Schmidt-Hubers says she still caters to fundraisers, parties, graduations, birthdays, weddings, social events and more.

In addition to every Thursday at W.I.R., she’s set up for events recently at Haen Meat Packing, Edison Elementary and Whisk and Arrow Market.

Hours are Wednesday Noon-7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
