LITTLE CHUTE — Officers with the Fox Valley Metro Police Department responded shortly after midnight Sunday to the 400 block of E. Lincoln Avenue in the Village of Little Chute for an active disturbance.

Police say that approximately 25 to 30 people were involved in a physical fight in the front yard of a home. The suspects were described by witnesses to be approximately 17 to 20 years old.

During the altercation, a homeowner intervened to assist one of the individuals involved in the fight that he believed to be injured.

As the homeowner intervened, he was subsequently assaulted by several members of the group, according to police.

The homeowner suffered significant injuries which required emergency medical treatment.

Investigators with the Fox Valley Metro Police Department are conducting a neighborhood canvass and are following up with leads in this investigation.

They are asking neighbors in the area to check home video surveillance cameras for video that may assist in identifying potential suspects or anyone involved in the assault.

Additionally, it was reported that several members involved in the disturbance were video recording the incident. Police are asking anyone who becomes aware of these videos online or through social media to contact the Fox Valley Metro Police Department by calling (920)788-7505.
