LITTLE CHUTE – Firefighters returned to a Little Chute house fire early Friday morning after the fire from earlier in the day rekindled in the roof and attic area.

The Little Chute Fire Department was originally called out about 4:20 p.m. Thursday to the 1300 Block of Miami Circle for reports of a structure fire in a detached garage that was quickly spreading to the adjacent two story home.

The first arriving units encountered heavy smoke and flames in the detached garage, according to a news release from the Little Chute Fire Department.

The fire was spreading from the garage to the buildings near the structure, and the fire made its way into the attic area of the adjacent structures.

Initial fire suppression was performed and command called a MABAS 1-1 to the second alarm for a working structure fire.

Crews were able to get a handle on suppressing the fire. They then ventilated the structure and checked for extension as well as extinguished any hot spots.

All occupants were able to get out safely, which was was confirmed once LCFD was on scene.

Crews were called back at 12:56 a.m. Friday due to the roof/attic area smoking and rekindling with flames visible.

The damage estimates are unknown and cause of the fire is under investigation
