KAUKAUNA — Over the last few days, the Kaukana Police Department says they have received reports of residents receiving spoofed phone calls from their non-emergency phone number, 920-766-6333.

During the calls, police say the scammer claims to be an officer from the department, typically using a generic name like “Jason Brown” and requests personal information including social security number.

Police urge residents to be vigilant when receiving phone calls, and that police will never request your social security number over the phone.
