FREEDOM TOWNSHIP — On Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024 at approximately 9:30 a.m. the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Liberty Lane in the Town of Freedom for a report of a 2-year-old child who was not breathing.
Deputies and first responders arrived and rendered aid to the child. The child was transported to a local hospital however efforts to save the child were unsuccessful, according to a news release posted Tuesday.
The investigation into this death is ongoing and no further comment will be available at this time.
The family of the child is cooperating with investigators. There is no danger to the community.
The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Freedom First Responders and Gold Cross Ambulance.
