KAUKAUNA — The Kaukauna-based Center For Suicide Awareness is crediting small donations with adding up to a significant contribution from Dick’s Drive-in.

Much of the money raised in the donation jar was “placed there by Kaukauna students dropping their spare change in,” according to Heather Kantelberg, a manager at Dick’s.

“Our friends at Dick’s Drive-in of Kaukauna are the epitome of community support toward our efforts at the Center For Suicide Awareness,” the center wrote in a Facebook post.

They met Friday with Dick’s Drive-in managers Kantelberg and Samantha DeWall who presented the Center for Suicide Awareness with a very generous donation gathered from a donation jar they had placed on their counter for the Center.

“It’s amazing that our community youth see the need and take it upon themselves to answer the call,” they said.

The money received will be used to not only continue, but grow the programs and resources that the Center provides to the Kaukauna School District.
