APPLETON, Nov. 21, 2023: The 52nd Downtown Appleton Christmas Parade will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023 at 7 p.m., starting on the corner of State Street and College Avenue. It’s one of the largest nighttime Christmas parades in the Midwest, with about 80 floats, vehicles and more. You can watch it live from home on WFRV-TV.

Starting at NOON on TUESDAY, November 21st, the City of Appleton is giving you the green light to stake your claim along the parade route.

Bring your chairs and blankets to place on the parade route. YOU MUST STAY with your chairs, blankets, and belongings. THEY CAN NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED!

The parade route is on College Ave. in Downtown Appleton and runs between State St. and Drew St. (see map below)

St. Joseph Food Program and Lawrence University will collect non-perishable food items along the parade route immediately following the Santa Scamper.

KAUKAUNA, Dec. 5, 2023: Kaukauna’s parade takes place Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023 beginning at 6 p.m.

This year’s parade theme is “Christmas Candyland” as submitted by Landon Jansen, who will be riding in the Fire Department’s Ladder Truck along with Santa in the parade.

The official start of the parade is at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and Depot Street.

The parade travels Southeast on Wisconsin Avenue, turns right and travels South on Highway 55, then turns right and travels west on Second Street.

There will be a sensory sensitive area starting at the intersection of Highway 55 and Second Street until the corner of Reaume and Second street.

The parade ends at the intersection of 3rd Street and Reaume Avenue. Parade goers that are sensitive to the loud sounds of the parade such as the sirens, horns and band at full volume can go to this section of the parade route that will not have these loud sounds.

After riding on a Kaukauna Fire Truck in the parade, Santa will be available in the Community Room in the Streets, Parks and Recreation (SPaR) Building at 207 Reaume Avenue. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served.
