KAUKAUNA — Kaukauna High School senior Sydney Fauske made it official last week, signing to attend the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in the fall to continue her education and run cross country for the Mountain Lions.
Fauske last month led the Kaukauna High School cross country team to a third-place finish at the WIAA state cross county meet.
She finished in 13th place with a time of 19:01.1
This was the Ghosts fourth year in a row to qualify for state.
Sophomore Reese Fauske finished 18th at state this year.
Sydney Fauske will reunite with older sister Anna, currently a junior at UCCS.
Anna capped off a stellar career at Kaukauna High School by winning the Division 1 1,600 meter run in 2021.
