KAUKAUNA — Thankfully the best things about Kaukauna never change.

One of them, Hill Top Bakery, is celebrating 100 years at 7th and Main streets on Kaukauna’s southside.

For the past century, the bakery has been known for its quality baked goods.

To celebrate, the bakery is having a special each day this week.

Tuesday’s was their famous peanut cake squares.

The treats are made from a classic moist yellow cake, glazed over and rolled in peanuts.

What makes their peanut squares so good is that their peanuts are roasted in house and then ground up nice and fine, according to the bakery.

Who knew back in 1923 this same building and location would still be a beloved bakery and destination 100 years later?

Many essential recipes created and acquired throughout the century make Hill Top what it is today, according to the bakery.

The bakery is open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the week, 6 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

Anniversay week features specials each day.
