KAUKAUNA — Sunday, Oct. 15 is White Cane Safety Day, recognized throughout the state as a day to remind residents that Wisconsin’s White Cane Law requires that motorists come to a full stop before approaching closer than 10 feet to a pedestrian who is using a white cane or service animal.
At the Tuesday, Oct. 3 City Council meeting, Mayor Tony Penterman presented Kaylie Cavil, a visually impaired Kaukauna High School student, with a proclamation recognizing Kaukauna’s participation in the effort.
